How sales are tracked
What counts as your sale, what does not, and why a sale can change later.
Shopify Collabs decides which orders belong to you. An order counts when the customer came through your tracked link or used your code, and Collabs treats it as eligible for commission. Your Collabs account lists these orders.
What does not count
- A mention or a plain link without your Collabs link or code, including your own UTM links.
- Orders you place for yourself or your household with your own link or code.
- Sales from coupon, deal or cashback sites, from search ads on our brand name, or from spam, paid clicks or fake accounts.
Why a sale can change
Commission is held for 45 days from the purchase date. If an order is cancelled or fully refunded during that time, its commission is cancelled too. A partial refund or a dispute can reduce it. After the hold, the commission is confirmed. See payments.
If an order is missing
Orders can take a little while to appear in Collabs. If a sale you expected is still missing after two days, write to us with the date and roughly what was ordered, never the customer's personal details, and we will check it.
