Creator guide / Commission and payments

Tax, VAT and invoices

Who is responsible for tax on commission and gifts, and when to tell us about VAT.

  • You declare your own income
  • Tell us if you are VAT registered
  • Collabs keeps your records

You take part as an independent creator, not an employee, so you are responsible for declaring your commission income and any gifted products where you live. Rules differ by country, and a local accountant or tax office can tell you what applies to you.

If you are registered for VAT

Tell us, with your VAT number, so the commission can be documented correctly. Write to collab@jhilkestudio.com.

Records

Collabs keeps a record of your orders, commission and payouts. Download or note them for your own tax return. If you need a statement from us, ask and we will send one.
